On bass for Texas Heat is Mr. Terry "Cheeto" Cullum. Cheeto has been performing for many years and his smooth style can be compared to some of Nashville's hottest session bassists. Cheeto's father was a talented bluegrass and country musician and Cheeto started playing with him at an early age. Cheeto toured across the United States with Charlie Bandy and Fourcast for years and has also performed opening acts for such famed artists as Mel Tillis, Patty Loveless, John Anderson, Johnny Russell, Conway Twitty, The Mandrell Sisters, Verne Gosdin and more. He has also done backup work for such legends as Minnie Pearl and David Wills. Cheeto's sound rounds out the tight Texas Heat rhythm section and along with drummer Chris Banning, paves the road for the other musicians in the band to drive down. Cheeto is an extremely talented bassist and a very valuable addition to the group.
